| Study Goals |
|
The WMATA Service Evaluation Study will result in recommendations for improved service and more efficient bus operations. The initial focus of the study is to identify current deficiencies in the operation of the above-listed lines. Information from the public and from bus drivers and planners will be used to examine ridership, frequency, travel time, reliability, and other quality-of-service indicators for each line.
Possible recommendations include adding buses to decrease wait times, changing the route or stop locations, running skip-stop express services, and adding shelters or other improvements to existing stops.
Upon completion of the study, WMATA will determine when and how to implement the recommendations based on community needs, available resources and other factors. | | |
